[VIDEO] Invisible Helmet?!?

Tired of Traditional Hard Plastic Designs That Are Unfashionable and Ruin Your Hair?

Designers of The Hövding device, Terese Alstin and Anna Haupt, were. "I don't want anything on my head... I don't want my hair to be destroyed."

The pair has spent seven years engineering, refining and testing an all-new helmet design while studying at the University of Lund in Sweden. The Hövding device is worn around the neck and is designed to shoot a protective inflatable nylon hood around the user's head within one tenth of a second of impact.

They had to simulate every known crash. They even enlisted the help of professional cyclists to help them develop it for all types of accidents, "Everything from an icy road crash to getting hit by a car"

The collar is capable of monitoring a cyclist's movements more than 200 times a second using an inbuilt computer, sensors and gyro. If it senses a collision, a small gas canister held in the back of the collar inflates the protective cover within miliseconds.

Surprisingly, the duo claims that the airbag is three or four times better in terms of shock absorbance — and — it covers more of the head, including the entire neck!
